Who we are

SameShift is operated by Scott Morse. SameShift helps people 16 and older find part-time work with friends and helps local shops hire crews.

Who this is for

SameShift is for high school students, college students, and other workers who are 16 or older, and for employers who hire them. We do not allow accounts for people under 16.

Information we collect

When you create an account or use SameShift, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• User ID
• ZIP, city, or other coarse location
• Confirmation that you are 16 or older
• Availability and job preferences
• Crew information
• Applications
• Messages
• Employer details and job listings
• Other content you choose to post, such as notes on an application or a job post

We do not collect a precise street address for your profile unless you type one into a field yourself (for example, a shop address on a job listing).

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Sign you in and keep the account secure
• Match crews to nearby jobs
• Personalize what you see
• Submit and review applications
• Support messaging, interviews, and hiring tools
• Answer support requests
• Prevent spam, fraud, and abuse

App Store categories

For Apple’s nutrition-label disclosure, SameShift currently collects the following, linked to your identity and not used for tracking:

• Name
• Email Address
• User ID
• Coarse Location (also used to personalize nearby jobs)
• Emails or Text Messages
• Other User Content (also used to personalize the product)

The current iPhone build does not use an advertising identifier, third-party advertising, or cross-app tracking.

What stays on your iPhone

Some features exist only on the device: the in-app tracker, the native availability planner, and local reminders. That information stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share it through SameShift (for example, by saving preferences to your account or sending a message).

Sharing

Crew members and employers see the information needed to apply, interview, and hire — such as a name, availability, a message, or a job listing. We use service providers that host the product and send email. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect people using SameShift.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is open and as needed for security, hiring records, and legal obligations. You can start account deletion in the app’s Settings. You can also email privacy@sameshift.me and we will help close the account.

Children

SameShift is not directed to children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 16, we will delete the account.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date.
